Funding News
The first three months of the year have been very busy at the Baby Equipment Loan Service and Toy Library (BELS & TL). More families have loaned baby equipment and joined the Toy Library as the impact of fuel and food costs have increased. We also believe that many families are acknowledging that borrowing toys and equipment is much better for the environment than constantly buying items.

The North Tyneside Fund, the Prime Fund and the Winter Family Fund, plus an
unnamed funder – all at the Community Foundation, Tyne & Wear and
Northumberland.
Benefits from using a Toy Library
They offer a cost effective alternative to purchasing new toys, and give children access to a diverse selection. Parents can exchange the toys regularly, ensuring their children always have something different and exciting to play with.
Toy Libraries save families money. Our Toy Library is only £7.00 for a years membership and you can loan 2 items at a time.
Having different toys for your children to play with helps to keep them engaged and encourages creativity.
Easter Holidays and May Bank Holidays
The Project will be closed on Good Friday 29th March and Bank Holiday Monday 1st April. We hope you enjoy the Easter Weekend.
We will also be be closed on Monday 6th May & Monday 27th May for the Bank Holiday's.
Spring is here!
The sun has finally peeked through recently, so we thought this would be a good time to remind you that we have some fantastic outdoor toys. If you go onto the Lend Engine and click on outdoor toys you will be able to see all the outdoor toys that we have available.
Party packs are always really popular in the warmer months. We have a great selection of larger items (giant Connect 4, giant Lego, giant Jenga, parachute, stepping stones etc) but we also have bubble machines, badge maker, dressing up, ride ons to name a few. You can hire these items with your membership - saving you £££s whilst also doing your bit to help the environment.
