Baby Equipment Loan Service & Toy Library
Celebrating 23 years (established in 1985) of the Baby Equipment Loan Service ... and 6 years (developed in 2002) of Howdon Toy Library.
The Baby Equipment Loan Service & Toy Library is a local charity which provides essential items of baby and safety equipment to families on low income living in North Tyneside. Buggies, cots, highchairs and baby monitors are available to loan at minimal cost for both long and short term hire.
We promote child safety by providing safety talks to local groups and we sell fireguards and safety gates at a subsidised cost.
We are committed to ensuring our project contributes to the Every Child Matters framework and work with local Children's Centres, Primary Care Trusts and Social Services to ensure we can provide this.
