Treasurer's Report

The Baby Equipment Loan Service and Toy Library is reliant upon grant support for which we are extremely grateful. The financial year 2007-2008 has seen grant funding secured from both new and existing sources. This combined with other donations and monies from the hiring of equipment has enabled the Project to continue to provide an invaluable service for children and families in North Tyneside.

At 31 March 2008, reserves were £16,258.00, which is compliant with the current reserves policy. The Funding Sub Group of the Management Commitee continues to meet on a monthly basis to identify alternative sources of funding. Thank you to all Individuals, Organisations, and Charitable Trusts who have donated their commitment, time, equipment, toys, and funds.

Chairperson's Report

The Baby Equipment Loan Service has continued to deliver services to a high standard throughout our 23rd year serving North Tyneside. Paid staff and volunteers continue to do a fantastic job. Thanks to all those who have dedicated many hours committed to funding research and applications in order to secure the future of BELS. A big thanks to the funding bodies who recognise the value of our services and support, and reward our efforts with financial donations. It is their generosity and the true dedication of our staff team, which allows us the opportunity to continue to provide effective services to our project users both now and in the future.
